# What information do I need from my clients to get started?

## Gather the right information from your clients before setting up their Grantd profile.

### Required Client Information

To create a complete client profile in Grantd, you'll need to collect several types of information:

### Personal Information

- Name
- Email address

### Company Information

- Company type (Public or Private)
- Company name

### Financial Information

- Financial goal
- Goal target value
- Non-company investment holdings

### Owned Shares Information

- Acquisition date
- Acquisition price
- Number of shares
- Cost basis
- Exercise and/or sell date

### Grant Documentation

- Grant summary with vesting schedule documents (these can be uploaded for automatic extraction)

### What Data Does Grantd Access?

Grantd accesses company stock prices and historical volatility data to calculate intrinsic values, time values, and risk analytics. The platform pulls this data automatically based on the company ticker symbol entered.
